Scottish Stuff to Try!
Scotland has some unique tastes and delicacies, here are my favourites:
Irn - Bru - our national soft drink! 1901 version is my favourite…more original.
Tunnocks Teacake - Biscuity, Chocolatey, Marshmallowey & addictive
Tunnocks Caramel Wafer - same!
Chrystals Shortbread - The Worlds Best shortbread, hands down, hard to find…
Deans Shortbread - If you can’t find Chrystals!
Buckfast Tonic Wine - Made in England, adopted by Scotland…has a bad reputation. Google the relevance!
Tennents Lager - Scotland’s lager, cold, fizzy refreshing.
Haggis - Our National Dish…if you dont know what it is…try it first then research!
Stephens Steak Bridie - Pastry filled with delicious meat and gravy.
Scotch Pie - Greasy mince encased in pastry.
Stirling
“A wonderful bike tour through Stirling with Stuart. Even though I had never ridden an e-bike before, Stuart was very patient by explaining to me what I needed to do. I felt very safe with Stuart as I saw he kept looking back to check my progress and frequently asked me about my comfort level. Stuart was a magnificent storyteller. He told stories of Scotland with both knowledge and humor. He even recited some poetry for me. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Stuart.”
